Way Out West

Living in the desert means you need to be ready for anything.

It’s the only way to survive in West Texas, especially when you find yourself lost in it. From one minute to the next you go from beads of sweat slowly forming in your undercarriage to shivering from the bitter cold of a shadow. A warm December day, like the one we’re having today, is not an anomaly. And while this year seems to be particularly warm, we’ve grown accustomed to thin, breathable short sleeves and grabbing a jacket on the way out.

Tip: don’t rely on your jacket to complete the look. It should compliment your shirt, should you need to take it off.
